Nancy Jean Densmore

Nancy Jean (Neumann) Densmore, of Houghton Lake formerly of Portland, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024 at the age of 76. Nancy was born in Greenville on May 13, 1947, the daughter of Gerard and Melvina (Richardson) Neumann. Nancy found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially while reading a good book, playing cards, watching her grandkids various activities, and watching basketball. Above all, Nancy cherished the quiet moments spent at the family's cottage on Houghton Lake. It was here, amidst the embrace of loved ones and the serenity of the lakeside, that Nancy and her family made memories to last for a lifetime. Nancy will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Preceding Nancy in death are her parents and husband of 32 years, Gene “Geno” Densmore. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Bob) Fox; son, Kirk (Damarah) Densmore; grandchildren, Nick Fox, Mallory Fox, and Allison Fox, Hannah (Louis) Irrer, Alivia Densmore, and Caleb Densmore; great-grandson, Rowan Irrer; and brothers, Dick (Lynda) Neumann and Larry (Cheryl) Prosser.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Deacon Randy Hodge at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery.
