Gale Ivan Jugovich II

Gale Ivan Jugovich II, of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the age of 42. He was born on January 27, 1982 in Lansing, Michigan.

Gale brought an abundance of warmth and joy to all who knew him. He was known for his kindness and generosity, traits that illuminated in his beautiful soul and resonated in his remarkable laugh. A dedicated individual, he exemplified the essence of hard work in all facets of his life. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment for fishing, camping, and mushroom hunting. He loved his family and his dogs. Gale's commitment to service extended beyond civilian life, as he proudly served in the U.S. Army 101st Cavalry - 19 Delta Company. His bravery, resilience, and dedication to his country reflected his admirable character and unwavering sense of duty. Although Gale has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.

Preceding Gale in death are his great-grandparents, John and Stella Jugovich and Leonard and Pearl Miller. He is survived by his son, Gale Jugovich III; daughter, Justice Alice Bush; mother, Penny Jugovich; fiancée, Melinda Heister; grandparents, Gale and Judy Jugovich; aunts, Cindy Jugovich, Tammy Jugovich, Michelle Arbour, and Linda Miller; and cousins, Brandon Martin, Amanda (Andrew) Voorheis, Paige (Tyler) Ross, Trenton Arbour, Ryan Miller, Jude Voorheis, Ash Voorheis, Hudson Ross, and Bennett Ross.

Gale is loved by all; his friend base is so extensive we could not list them all. His mom and family appreciate your loyalty, love, and kindness shown to Gale. It will never be forgotten.

The Memorial Service will be officiated by Pastor Justin Wiseman at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
