Crystal Marie (Bannerman) Angel

Crystal Marie (Bannerman) Angel, of Lyons, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 at the age of 56. She was born on June 19, 1967, in Lansing to Thomas and Rebecca (Glover) Bannerman.

Crystal was a beacon of creativity and artistry. She found joy in the delicate art of knitting, the precise craft of sewing, and the heartfelt gesture of making greeting cards. A true lover of the great outdoors, Crystal enjoyed snowmobiling, riding go-carts, shooting guns, and camping. She found her purest moments of happiness amidst the beauty of the natural world. She enjoyed attending church, her faith was a guiding light, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her journey. Above all else, Crystal's heart belonged to her family. Her presence brought warmth and joy to every family gathering, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Crystal in death are her father, Tom Bannerman; step-father, Al Bannerman; grandparents, Clifford and Betty McQuiston; and in-laws, John and Peggy Cherpes. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher (Maggie) Cherpes and Chelsey Cherpes; grandchildren, Christopher Cherpes II, Chloe Simon, and Breighan Christensen; mother, Rebecca Bannerman; sisters, Wendy Bannerman and Renee (Jim) Mulligan; former husband, James Cherpes; stepchildren, Jessica (Chad Marecek) Cherpes and Chad Cherpes; and step-grandchildren, Korbin, Konnor, and Kambriah Marecek.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
